Thai Yoga (Indigenous, Traditional Thai Massage) is a traditional religious therapeutic practice, comprehensive, sophisticated healing arts derivative of Classical Indian – Thai - and Tibetan Ayurveda, Theraveda Vipassana Bhavana, Buddhist medicine, Buddhist Psychology, Yoga Vedanta and Indigenous, traditional Hill Tribe medicine practices.  

Thai Yoga, mostly known as “Thai Massage”, is the practice of Traditional Thai Ayurveda and Thai Indigenous Medicine. Thai Yoga is an indigenous traditional system of religious therapeutics, medicine, movement education, dancing meditation and therapy. It incorporates elements of mindfulness gentle rocking, deep slow stretching and rhythmic compression to create a singular healing experience.

All the applications of traditional Ayurveda, Asana, Flows, Techniques, Prana Yama, Meditations and choreographed movements are specifically intended to affect the mind, body, and spirit, as well as, emotions and the human energy field. Somaveda® Thai Yoga Therapy uses Therapeutic Postures, Breathing, Meditation, and Energy Balancing performed in structured sequences, to reduce pain and suffering, to restore wellness and health of Spirit, Mind, and Body.

The session is performed in loose comfortable clothes, like the ones you will wear for a yoga classes. During each session, you will not be exerting. Simply lay back on the "Healing Mat", breathe and relax. The therapist supports and moves your body through various co-facilitated yoga postures, gentle rocking, deep stretching, and rhythmic compressions encouraging your body back to its healthy, natural state. By receiving, you will experience the “ART OF LETTING GO” and how to release resistance on both a mental & physiological levels.
